TULSA, Okla. — The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) said their Human Trafficking Unit has arrested an accused trafficker and saved one adult victim following a tip given to their hotline.
According to OBN, their Human Trafficking Hotline received a tip on April 7 reporting information about a potential victim of human trafficking in the Tulsa area.
OBN said their Watch Center Analysts began investigating the tip and provided information about the potential victim to the OBN Human Trafficking Unit.
Agents said they identified the man accused of trafficking the victim and stated they located him waiting in his car outside of a hotel where the victim was being trafficked for the use of commercial sex.
“Within the next 48 hours, our Agents and Analysts worked diligently to locate and recover the victim and subsequently arrest the victim’s trafficker. I can’t say enough about their tireless efforts and determination to bring this case to a rapid and successful conclusion.”
OBN said the victim is receiving advocacy from a state certified victim service provider who will be offering resources and support.
