Tulsa Police say the 9-1-1 calls started rolling in around 9:20 Thursday morning, reporting multiple car break ins. Officers received reports of a Burglary from a Vehicle near 15400 E. 38th St.During that burglary, a witness took photos of the suspect car and tag which turned out to be a white Hyundai, which was reported stolen the night before. Detectives say about 25 minutes later they received another call reporting the same stolen white Hyundai in a neighborhood a couple of miles away. The 9-1-1 caller reported the suspects rammed a garage door five times, before crashing into a mailbox and speeding away. The trio was tracked by the Real Time Information Center to the Walmart parking lot at 31st and Garnett. Officers took two 12-year-olds and a 13-year-old, who were loitering nearby, into custody. While Officers were questioning the three juveniles, Officers received a call that their AirPods were pinging to the division. The AirPods were reported stolen the night before in another Burglary from a Vehicle in Broken Arrow. Officers searched the car and found a stolen driver’s license they say was taken in a separate Burglary from a Vehicle, also in Broken Arrow. The three juveniles were arrested for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Attempted Burglary, Hit-and-Run, Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property, and Criminal Conspiracy. While being questioned, detectives say the 13-year-old grabbed one of the Officer’s body cams and threw it in the trash. He now faces charges for Grand Larceny and Attempted Destruction of Evidence.Police say all three suspects were taken to the Community Intervention Center. Detectives say, because one of the suspects is a tribal member and falls under the McGirt ruling, they will be turning over the case to the FBI and Tribal Authorities for further investigation.
