“Twerking” customer arrested after mass pepper spraying South Tulsa chicken restaurant

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Police were flagged down by several people outside Dave’s Hot Chicken near 71st & Olympia Monday night. Restaurant patrons and employees said that a man, later identified as 18-year-old Kennaijh Washington, entered the restaurant with a woman and became upset over his order.
Witnesses said that Washington started yelling at employees, tried to get behind the counter several times, and at one point, started “twerking”. Employees tried to get Washington to leave, but that only escalated the situation. At that point, Washington pulled out bear mace and sprayed several employees and patrons in the restaurant.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Washington in a nearby parking lot. As they approached, he attempted to run away, but officers were able to take him into custody with the aid of a taser.
Washington was arrested for Assault and Battery, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Justice.
