Man injured after vehicle rolls off cliff in Creek County

CREEK COUNTY, Okla. — Authorities said a man was severely injured after his vehicle rolled off a cliff and fell around 150 feet in Creek County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the man did not put his vehicle in park at a cliff near Highway 99 and Crow Road.
The man was extracted from his vehicle and ferried across the Cimarron River. He was then carried on a stretcher for around half of a mile before he was taken on a UTV and loaded on an ambulance.
The man was in the car for several hours before he was found in 30 degree temperatures.
The Olive Volunteer Fire Department used a thermal camera on its drone to record the rescue.
The Oilton Fire Department, Oilton Police Department, Creek County Sheriff’s Office, Creek County EMS, Drumright Fire Department and Drumright Police Department also assisted with the rescue.
