TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Air and Space Museum is mourning the loss of its founder, Lee C. Raney.

TASM said Lee’s passion for aviation and his love for inspiring children sparked the creation of the museum. What began with his vision has grown into what TASM is today, a place where curiosity takes flight, history is preserved and future explorers discover their path.

Today, the museum honors Lee’s life and legacy. His spirit lives on it every child who looks up in wonder, every aircraft that tells a story and every moment of learning within its walls.

TASM will continue to carry Lee’s legacy forward with pride, gratitude and a commitment to the mission he began, the museum said.
