GLENPOOL, Okla. — The Glenpool Police Department said they arrested a man they believe was involved in an injury hit-and-run accident on Monday.
According to police, they were called out to an injury hit-and-run accident near Highway 75 and West 201st Street South on Monday evening.
Officers said they began searching for the car involved in the crash, which they believed was a white Chevrolet truck.
Near South Elwood Avenue and West 171st Street South, authorities said they located a white Chevrolet truck with front-end damage that matched the kind of damage that would be expected for the car involved in the earlier hit-and-run collision.
The department said when they questioned the driver, he claimed to have hit something, but said he backed up about half a mile and didn’t see anything so he believed he might have hit a deer.
Police stated evidence at the scene and damage to the truck, including paint transfer, indicated this white Chevrolet was the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run crash.
The suspect, identified as Jesus Antonio Zaval, was placed under arrest and transported to the Tulsa County Jail for leaving the scene of an accident.
