Former President Clinton Testifies before Epstein Committee

By Matt Hutson

Former President Bill Clinton testifying before a House Oversight Committee that he saw no signs of Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse and that if he had, he would have turned in the convicted sex offender himself.

Clinton told members of Congress during a closed-door deposition that he had stopped associating with Epstein before the abuse was revealed with Epstein’s 2008 guilty plea. Clinton’s statements mark the first time a former president has been compelled to testify before Congress, and comes one day after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the Committee she did not recall meeting Epstein and had no knowledge of his crimes.

Speaking at the White House this morning, President Trump rebuked the committee, saying that he personally liked Clinton, and was not happy that the former President had been threatened with contempt charges to compel his testimony.
