Woman accused of an organized retail crime at Hobby Lobby

By April Hill

Police were first tipped off last month when employees at the Hobby Lobby near 71st and Mingo say they saw 44-year-old Amanda Barnes leave without paying for about $93 worth of merchandise.

Police believe Barnes came back to do the same thing TWICE in the last several days.

Then on Monday police spotted her car driving south on Garnett.

Police pulled her over and arrested her for the theft spree and a warrant for another Larceny of Merchandise from a Retailer.
