COWETA, Okla. — The City of Coweta says that infrastructure upgrades will require the water to be shut off in Coweta starting Friday night.
Officials state the water shut off will be for businesses and homes from East 146th Street South to East 111th Street South beginning at 10 p.m. and is expected to last up to six hours.
The shutoffs will happen as part of the 131st Street widening project where fire hydrants are being relocated behind the curb. Wagoner County crews are also completing drainage improvements on South 289th East Avenue between East 111th Street South and East 121 Street South.
The City is asking people to store enough water for drinking, cooking and flushing toilets during the shut off period.
