People opposed to a plan to build a new mosque in Broken Arrow are planning a strategy session next week, before the Broken Arrow City Council votes on zoning and land use changes that would clear the way for the mosque.
“In order to defeat this, we need to organize,” said David Oldham in a video posted on the Facebook page for a group called Constitutional Grounds. “And in this mindset, we have organized a meeting for January the 6th.
That meeting on the 6th is scheduled to be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Property Event Center near Olive and the Creek Turnpike, which, coincidentally, is not far from the site of the proposed mosque.
In his post, He says Oklahoma State Senator Christi Gillespie will be on hand to talk about what he calls the ‘appropriate’ arguments to make before the Council, and the, ‘elephants in the room’, although he doesn’t elaborate on a definition of either of those.
