Six selected for the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame of 2026

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame has announced its inductees for the Class of 2026.

The new class will be Sam Bradford, Emmett Hahn, Matt Holliday, KJ Kindler, Terry Miller, and Rod Shoate, who will be inducted posthumously.

The organization is also recognizing the 2025 Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Championship team as a Class of 2026 Team of Legend, and only the fourth to be inducted in Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame history.

Bradford is recognized for his contribution to Oklahoma Sooners football as their starting quarterback in 2007, where he threw for 3,121 yards and 36 touchdowns. He later went on the become the second sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy. After his college career, he was drafted as the first pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams.

Hahn is known for his auto racing career as both a racer and promoter. He was instrumental in the creation of the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, held at the Tulsa Expo Center.

Holliday earned All-American honors in football and baseball and was his region’s Gatorade Player of the Year honoree in both sports as a senior at Stillwater High School. His MLB career spanned 15 years, where he was a World Series Champion, a seven-time All-Star selection, and a four-time Silver Slugger Award winner in the outfield.

Kindler was a four-time National Coach of the Year for OU women’s gymnastics and won six NCAA championships. She led the Sooners to a record-breaking season in 2024.

Miller is the only player in Oklahoma State University history to finish his career with three 1,000-yard rushing seasons. He was selected fifth in the first round of the 1978 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills.

Shoate was a three-time All-America pick as a linebacker for the OU, twice named the Big Eight Defensive Player of the Year and finished seventh in the 1974 Heisman Trophy voting. He was selected in the second round of the 1975 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.

The Class of 2026 will be formally introduced at the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame’s Inductees Welcome Luncheon on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Oklahoma City.
