Victim tracks down suspected burglar

By Crystal Kelly

The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office says a local man set a trap after being burglarized multiple times.

WCSO says the victim placed a decoy tool on a trailer bed in his yard with an AirTag inside.

The decoy tool was stolen, and the victim was able to track the AirTag to a home.

The victim took pictures of the home and the vehicle and called the police.

The suspect in the picture was identified as William B. Farris, and a warrant was issued.

While searching for Farris on the scene, deputies located stolen property from two different burglaries in the Wagoner area.

Farris avoided deputies for a couple of months, but was tracked down earlier this month at a Wagoner home, hiding under blankets in the laundry room.

Farris was arrested and booked into the county jail.
