The Chili Bowl wrapped up its 40th year with 21-year-old Emerson Axsom from Franklin, Indiana holding the coveted trophy.
He bested previous winners like NASCAR drivers Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson for his first win at the SageNet Center.
Organizers said this year’s Chili Bowl saw a record-breaking field of 387 drivers enter the event.
The Chili Bowl attracts drivers and race-fans alike from across the country and even around the world. It’s considered the world’s largest indoor racing event and pumps millions of dollars into the Tulsa economy every January.
