TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Police say a 16-year-old tried to buy a gun through the social media app, Snap Chat.

According to TPD, the teen arranged to meet up with 18-year-old Darick Pitts to buy the gun near 31st and S. 108th East Ave.

When the two met, detectives say, Pitts showed the teenager the gun but wanted to see the money before he handed it over.

The teen pulled out about $380 and handed it over.

Officers say Pitts took the money from the teen, pointed his gun at the victim, and left the scene.

The teen ran to a nearby business and called 9-1-1 to report the armed robbery.

TPD officers went to Pitt’s home and arrested him for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
