Tulsa Police searching for suspect car following non-deadly shooting in north Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police are searching for a suspect vehicle connected to a shooting that took place in north Tulsa Sunday night.

Officers responded to a call for a shooting near MLK Boulevard and the Gilcrease Expressway. They said one person was severely injured after being shot while in the road.

“He was with a friend of his. The friend was nearby and heard a gunshot, found his acquaintance down in the street,” said Tulsa Police Captain Joshua Showman. “Right now, we’re looking for a dark colored Dodge Challenger. We don’t have information released right now in terms of number of suspects.”

The type of gun used is also unknown at this time.

Police said they are unsure of the suspect’s motive at this time, and they do not believe there is a danger to the public.
