TULSA, Okla. — The Rivas Family Foundation launched an initiative dedicated to supporting seniors across Oklahoma, with a focus on Latino students and future community leaders.

The foundation is the philanthropic arm of Rivas & Associates, an immigration law firm with offices in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Founded on the belief that education transforms families and communities, the Rivas Family Foundation works to expand access to resources and opportunities for students pursuing their goals beyond high school.

Through the Rivas Family Foundation Scholarship Program, the foundation seeks to invest in students who demonstrate leadership, academic commitment and a passion for service.

“At Rivas & Associates, we see every day how education changes the trajectory of families,” said Lorena Rivas, Founder of the Rivas Family Foundation and CEO of Rivas & Associates. “Through the Foundation, we are committed to pouring back into the community by investing in students who are determined to create meaningful change in Oklahoma.”

The foundation will award four scholarships for the upcoming cycle:

Rivas Family Foundation Latino Student Scholarships

  • Three scholarships of $1,000 per semester.
  • Renewable for four years
  • Recipients must be of Latino descent and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA

The Adrian Rivas Scholarship
