The National Weather Service in Tulsa is expecting record-high temperatures in Green Country this weekend.
The NWS says well-above seasonal normal high temperatures are expected through the weekend as upper-level ridging expands into the region. Temperatures are likely to be near or above record highs through Sunday.
This heat, combined with periodically breezy conditions and low relative humidity, will continue to foster limited to elevated fire weather concerns through the weekend, according to NWS.

The National Weather Service says fire weather conditions worsen Sunday with a cold front and gusty northerly winds moving into the region. Very dry humidity levels and abundant dormant grasses will contribute to near-critical to critical grassland fire spread rates, according to NWS.
