POTEAU, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) said a LeFlore County man has been arrested in connection to a double homicide.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, authorities said the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home along Old Tarby Road in Poteau.

At the scene, deputies said they found two victims, 31-year-old Gabrielle Wilson and her 17-month-old daughter, who they believe died from gunshot wounds.

The LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office and the District 16 District Attorney’s Office chose to request OSBI’s assistance in investigating this case.

OSBI said their special agents responded to the scene and began collecting evidence.

Through the initial investigation, authorities said they were able to identify the suspect in this case as Gabrielle’s twin brother, 31-year-old Grant Wilson.

OSBI said Wilson was discovered by authorities in Monroe County near Atlanta, Georgia, on March 22.

Wilson then fled from deputies when they attempted to pull him over for a traffic stop, according to law enforcement.

Following the short pursuit, authorities said Wilson was eventually taken into custody without incident.

He was booked into the Monroe County Jail on two charges of First Degree Murder.

Wilson is set to be extradited back to LeFlore County to face both charges.

FOX23 will provide more updates as they become available.
