TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Fire Department extinguished a fire that broke out at a duplex in midtown Tulsa.
Around 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, firefighters responded to reports of a house fire near East 31st Street and South Harvard Avenue.
Crews said they noticed heavy smoke pouring from the house when they arrived.
According to the department, the house had recently been converted into a duplex and wasn’t being lived in while renovations were underway.
Crews discovered the fire was mainly located on the exterior at the back of the house, but said it had extended into the attic by the time they arrived.
A safety alert was given to firefighters at the scene due to the discovery of downed power lines near the house.
The department said no injuries have been reported.
A fire investigator is currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
