TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Public Schools said one person was arrested by police following an incident that prompted Nathan Hale High School to be placed on precautionary lockdown on Thursday.
Shortly after 1:30 p.m., school administration at Nathan Hale High School became aware of a potential security concern and the school was placed on a precautionary lockdown status.
The campus police team and administration determined there was no threat inside the building.
TPS said after working with external law enforcement, it was determined that there was possible suspicious activity in the neighborhood and the school was moved to a hold status at 2:30 p.m.
TPS also confirmed that one person was ultimately arrested as a result of the incident. No specific details have been released about the incident or what led up to the arrest at this time.
