INCOG kicks off Congestion Management Process Plan focusing on traffic congestion, travel patterns in the area

The Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG) is kicking off its Congestion Management Process Plan, which takes a look at traffic congestion. INCOG wants the public’s help with their CMPP, which focuses on traffic congestion and travel patterns in the area.

Thomas Dow, director of transportation at INCOG sat down with KRMG to discuss their Congestion Management Process Plan, which is required under federal transportation law for urbanized areas with populations over 200,000. INCOG is encouraging the public to participate in an online survey that has an interactive map to identify congestion locations.

“We’re really looking for the public to weigh in on their personal experiences with congestion in the region,” Dow said. “…People can essentially put an electronic push-pin on the map and say ‘this is where we’re experiencing congestion.'”
