MURRAY COUNTY, Okla. — A 19-year-old Ardmore woman is dead, after authorities say she fell from the window of moving car on I-35 Saturday night.
Multiple media outlets, including KXII-TV and KTEN-TV, report the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the northbound lanes of I-35 between Ardmore and Pauls Valley near mile marker 50.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said Lani Hicks was in a car with 5 other people, including the driver, and was sitting partially outside the vehicle, when she somehow fell out, onto the roadway, and was hit by multiple vehicles.
Authorities say they’re still investigating how it happened.
The organizer of a GoFund Me page for Hicks’ funeral expenses said her friends and family are heartbroken.
