TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department has arrested a suspect after they say he admitted to firing shots within city limits in east Tulsa on Monday.
According to the report, officer responded to a call about gunshots coming from a moving vehicle near 36th Street and 152nd East Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Officers learned from witnesses a man in a gray Nissan Juke was driving through the neighborhood firing a gun out the window. Officer found a car matching the description at a convenience store near 33rd and 145th East Ave.
Officers initiated a traffic stop as he pulled into an apartment complex.
The suspect told officers he had a pistol in his waistband and officers noticed a rifle on the passenger seat in plain view. They also say they noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from the car. Police noticed several spent cartridge casing throughout the car and an open 16-ounce beer in the center console.

The suspect admmited to police that he fired three different guns toward an empty lot in the neighborhood. He stopped at home to drop off one of the guns before he ran into the officers.
The suspect was arrested and booked into Tulsa County Jail for shooting a firearm from a vehicle.
