Recovery efforts continue for Enid after EF4 tornado last week

ENID, Okla. — Recovery efforts are continuing for the City of Enid, Oklahoma.

According to the officials, city crews, partner agencies and volunteers are continuing to assist neighborhoods impacted by the EF4 tornado that struck Enid this past Thursday.

“The response from our community has been outstanding. said Mayor David Mason. “We are grateful for every volunteer, partner agency, and donor helping our residents recover and rebuild together.”

Officials say residents should monitor the City of Enid’s Resource Center website for recovery information, available assistance, and community needs. The site will be updated daily.

Donations can be dropped off at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center located at 111 West Purdue Avenue. Items needed include:
  • Buckets
  • Camping chairs
  • Chainsaws
  • Grabbers
  • Safety glasses
  • Shovels
  • Tarps
  • Totes
  • Utility gloves

If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can donate to the Cherokee Strip Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund and the United Way of Enid and Northwest Oklahoma Relief Fund.
