TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department arrested several people who they say stole from the closed Tulsa Promenade Mall in midtown Tulsa Monday morning.
According to police, an officer noticed a black F-150 truck driving under the parking garage of the mall around 4:15 a.m. During a traffic stop, offcers noticed a large amount of copper wire, copper pipe, and other items from the mall in plain view in the truck bed.
Police say the five people in the truck all had different stories on how they ended up there. While searching the truck, officers found multiple backpacks with tools including pipe cutters, saws and wrenches.
Four of people in the truck were arrested and booked into Tulsa County Jail on various charges including second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, and possession of stolen copper. The fifth person was released pending further investigation.
