Broken Arrow considers “No-Knock” list

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The City of Broken Arrow is considering amending an ordinance that would keep solicitors off your doorstep.

BA City Manager Michael Spurgeon says a “No-Knock” list would be added to the current Trespassing ordinance.

Spurgeon says there would be no names on the list, only addresses.

Residents would need to submit their addresses for the list every year.

The City says the “No-Knock” list would be handed out to solicitors during the permit process.

City officials say including your address on a potential No-Knock list would not guarantee that a peddler would not solicit at your home.

However, the list would be another tool the City could use to discourage peddlers from violating the ordinance.

The City of Broken Arrow is asking for feedback on amending the ordinance.
