EDMOND, Okla. — The Edmond Police Department are currently investigating the shooting at Arcadia Lake near the Scissortail Campground Sunday night.
According to police, the shooting was reported just after 9 p.m. on Sunday. The incident occurred during what they say was an unsanctioned party that started after dark and was advertised across social media, drawing a large crowd of young adults across the metro.
Police say approximately 23 people have been identified with injuries ranging in severity, including gunshot wounds. They say several were taken to area hospitals, while others sought treatment on their own.
Investigators are working the case and are not releasing any suspect information at this time and they say they do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
