Tulsa police arrest suspects after armed robbery in north Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — One man is in custody following an armed robbery in north Tulsa on Saturday evening.  

Tulsa Police responded to an armed robbery near 46th Street North and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard around 5:42 p.m. on May 9.

According to officers, one of the robbery victims said she and her friend were in their car when a group of men pulled up beside them in a Ford Escape. One of the men exited their car and got in the backseat of the victims’ car and held them at gunpoint, demanding money.  

The victims gave the man cash and a couple bottles of their prescription medication. The man got back in his car with the others and they took off from the scene.  

Roughly five hours later, TPD said the suspects were spotted at a gas station near 2100 MLK Boulevard. Officers followed their car and initiated a traffic stop.  

Suspects Trevon Brooks and Deoyonte Moore were taken into custody. Officers found a gun on the passenger side and a bag of unmarked narcotics on Brooks.  

Brooks was arrested for robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, unlawful carry, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a prescription.  

Moore was arrested for possession of a firearm after a former conviction of a felony.
