TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Police were called out to what they say was a “swatting” call early Thursday morning near 211 N Elgin Ave.
The Tulsa Police Department says they got a call from a person saying he was near Avery Kitchen and Bar with a bomb strapped to his chest.
He also said he had a firearm and would start shooting civilians if officers did not “come and get him”.
Officers rushed to the scene and began to canvass the area.
The caller said he was standing in a parking garage near some red doors.
Police say when they arrived at that scene, they saw 4 people who were recording a live stream exiting the parking garage.
The group ignored commands to stop, but officers caught up with the live streamer, 23-year-old Noah Boswell, who had an outstanding felony warrant and took him into custody.
19-year-old Trevor Brinkley was also arrested on an unrelated outstanding City warrant.
18-year-old Zariah Marzano and 26-year-old Francisco Villa were questioned and released without incident.
Officers later determined the call was a “swatting” call and there was no additional threat to the public or officers.
Investigators are looking into how the “swatting” call was made.
