Man pleads guilty to second-degree murder in fatal west Tulsa shooting

TULSA, Okla. — A man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in west Tulsa in June 2024.

Aidan Perez was arrested in connection with the shooting.

According to Tulsa Police, officers responded to a shooting call near South 42nd West Avenue and West Fourth Street around 11 p.m. on June 9, 2024.

Police found a man, later identified as Jeremy Crowder, lying in the street with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The following day, Tulsa Police arrested Perez on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill.

Two weeks later, police said Crowder died from his injuries, and the charge against Perez was amended to first-degree murder.

On Monday, Perez pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second-degree murder. Sentencing is scheduled for June 8.
