TULSA, Okla. – A man is dead after being hit by a car crossing Riverside Drive early this morning.
Tulsa Police say a 50-year-old man was crossing the road near River Spirit Casino, where there was no crosswalk, around 12:42 am.
Officers say the man was hit in the roadway by a white Mazda CX-5 heading southbound on Riverside.
The driver immediately stopped to check on the man and called 9-1-1.
Witnesses told officers the victim was running across the dark road when he was hit.
The driver is not expected to face charges.
