OWASSO — A man stole several boxes of the “Plan B” pill from a pharmacy, and the Owasso Police would like to talk to him.
On June 15, an unidentified man walked into the Walgreens store, located at East 86th Street, grabbed a pair of scissors from the shelf, and used them to break into a locked security box to steal $140 worth of the Plan B contraception pill. Nick Boatman with the Owasso Police Department tells KRMG the theft of Plan B is becoming a problem in larger cities.
“Traffickers and pimps steal (Plan B) because they are using women for their financial gain, and, of course, they don’t want them to get pregnant because they continue to use (the women),” Boatman said.
The suspect is described as a “young black male, shoulder-length dreads, light-framed glasses, a goatee, and minimal facial hair above the upper lip.”
