TULSA, Okla. — The City of Tulsa shared a reminder of available green waste disposal sites and options for Tulsa residents.
If you have any extra space in your gray trash can, you can bag yard waste and dispose of it there. The city will collect all waste, including yard waste, must be able to fit inside the trash can with the lid closed completely in order to be picked up.
Another option to get rid of green waste is curbside pickup. The city said Tulsans are able to bundle small limbs together and leave them on their curbs for pickup.
Curbside pickup takes place during normal trash pickup. The bundles should be no larger than two feet across and five feet long.
If you choose to use curbside pickup, the city asks that you do not place green waste under power lines, over water meters, in the street, or along/inside gutter systems.
Any bundles over 40 pounds will need to be scheduled for Bulky Waste Pickup. This costs $10 per eight cubic yards.

For any Tulsans with extra green waste that is unable to be disposed of in the gray trash can or bundled for curbside, the city said residents can place green waste inside of transparent bags and leave them at the curb for no extra cost.
The City of Tulsa said combined households may have a total of 15 transparent bags and/or curbside bundles at the curb for primary collection day.
If all else fails, Tulsans can always use the Mulch Site for free to dispose of green waste. The Tulsa Mulch Site is located at 2100 North 145th East Avenue.
The mulch site hours are Monday through Tuesday and Thursday through Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The site is closed on Wednesday.
