TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police and Tulsa Fire Department said crews have located the missing 14-year-old girl who entered the Arkansas River on Thursday, reporting she has sadly passed away.
Around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, authorities closed the Williams Crossing Bridge after receiving reports that the 14-year-old girl had entered the Arkansas River and not resurfaced.
Emergency crews said they were able to locate the missing girl further down the river, but said she had passed away.
The Tulsa Police Department said they’re currently investigating the incident and hope to have more information to share as they learn more.
