BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Broken Arrow Public Schools has named Steve Dunn as its next superintendent following a unanimous vote by the Board of Education.
Dunn, a 15‑year veteran of the district, has held roles ranging from teacher and coach to assistant principal, athletics administrator, and, most recently, associate superintendent. He also spent time in district leadership at Owasso Public Schools before returning to Broken Arrow in 2018.
Board President Steve Allen said Dunn is a trusted, proven leader who understands the district’s mission and has earned the respect of staff, students, and the community. Current Superintendent Chuck Perry also endorsed the decision, saying the district is “in great hands” and will continue to thrive under Dunn’s leadership.
Dunn called the appointment an honor and said he looks forward to working with teachers, staff, families, and the community to continue expanding opportunities for students.
Perry will remain superintendent through the 2026–27 school year, and Dunn will officially step into the role for 2027–28.
