Two women wanted by Tulsa Police taken into custody after police chase, crash

Two women who were wanted for outstanding warrants refused to stop for police, causing a crash that involved two minor children.

Tulsa Police arrested two women for outstanding warrants and causing a car crash after fleeing. Officers attempted to stop 24-year-old Piper Barrett, who had an active felony warrant, and the gold Ford Taurus she was driving had an object obstructing her view of the windshield.

Officers say they activated their lights and sirens around 21st and Sheridan, but Barrett refused to stop.

Reports said she ran numerous stoplights and was driving dangerously, so the officers called off the chase. However, they eventually caught up to Barrett, but she had switched seats with 28-year-old Brittney Wolfe. According to reports, the two suspects ran another red light and slammed into a silver van, carrying one adult and two children, ages 10 and 4.

The victims were treated for minor injuries, and the two women were arrested for eluding and outstanding warrants.
