TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Police Chief Dennis Larsen announced in an email to his staff on Monday that he will be retiring effective September 30th.
Larsen has spent 45 years serving the Tulsa community, first as an officer and eventually as the TPD Chief.
Larsen has been Chief for a little more than 2 years and says now he wants to focus on spending more time with his family.
Larsen became the 41st Chief to lead the department.
Before becoming chief, Larsen served as deputy chief over TPD’s Investigations Bureau.
