TULSA, OKLA. — The search for a new Tulsa Police Department Chief is underway, and the City wants to hear from residents.
Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols has announced a community listening session so residents can voice what they want from the next leader of the TPD.
The public will get a chance to share their feedback on Tuesday, August 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Edison Preparatory School, located at 2906 East 41st Street. The session will be open to all Tulsans and is designed to gather feedback to help with the interview process. Attendees will get a chance to share the qualities, values, and leadership characteristics they see as most important in Tulsa’s next chief of police.
The City says Mayor Nichols will also convene a series of stakeholder roundtable discussions to gather additional perspectives from community leaders and partners.
The chief of police position has been posted internally and will close on August 5.
