TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a Lyft driver after he was picked up from a hospital in midtown Tulsa on Monday.
Police said around 6:57 p.m., officers responded to a sexual battery call involving a Lyft driver and her passenger.
The victim said she was picking up a passenger from a hospital near South Utica Avenue and East 21st Street. When she arrived, the man entered her passenger seat, but refused to verbally confirm if he was the correct passenger she was there to pick up. The victim said she gave the man the benefit of the doubt because he was just coming out of the hospital.
Police said as they had just made it out of the hospital drive, the suspect started trying to touch the victim as he touched himself.
The victim stopped the car and demanded Crook get out, but he refused and continued touching and encroaching the victim.
The suspect refused to identify himself to officers, so he was taken back to the hospital, where staff reported he had tried to grope one of the nurses several times as he was being discharged.
