UPDATE (8/4/26) — The Youth Peace & Justice Foundation said the victim’s family has identified the 13-year-old who passed away after being shot in a stolen car on July 29 as Adrian Yancey Titsworth Jr.
The organization has launched a national fundraiser to help support the family with needs that include funeral-related expenses, emergency financial assistance and other costs associated with the loss of their child.
(7/29/26) TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department is investigating after a juvenile found shot in a stolen car later died.
According to police, officers responded to a shooting call at 51st Place North and North Frankfort Avenue just after midnight. Officers arrived to find a group of juveniles inside a stolen Hyundai Sonata. Police say the car had been hit by gunfire several times and a 13-year-old boy inside had a gunshot wound to the head.
Homicide detectives are searching the area to determine where the shooting happened and who is responsible. The investigation is currently ongoing.

The Youth Peace & Justice Foundation, also known as The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, announced that they are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the shooting.
“The loss of a child to violence is a pain no family should ever have to experience,” said Daniel Chapin, Founder and President of the Youth Peace & Justice Foundation. “Our thoughts are with this family and everyone impacted by this tragedy. We want them to know they are not alone, and our team is prepared to offer support, connect them with resources, and assist however we can during this difficult time.”
The foundation said reward eligibility and payment will be determined after confirmation that qualifying information directly assisted law enforcement.
The foundation said it will also be reaching out to the victim’s family to offer assistance and assess immediate needs, including potential support related to funeral expenses and other costs associated with the loss of their child.
The foundation also reminded the public not to approach or confront anyone suspected of involvement. Any information regarding the investigation should be given directly to law enforcement.
