BEGGS, Okla. — The interim chief of police, the assistant chief of police, as well as a third officer resigned from the Beggs Police Department last week.
Steven Diamond, the City Administrator for Beggs, confirmed that the three resigned effective July 29 and said that the city is taking steps to make sure that police coverage will continue for the community.
The City Council approved the resignations on Tuesday and have appointed J.W. Mobley to serve as the interim police chief.
Diamond stated the City does not discuss personal internal matters and have no further comments on the situation at this time.
