A Tulsa Police Officer had to wade through a Mexican restaurant’s dumpster after a teen was arrested for firearm possession, and police thought an additional firearm could have been thrown in a dumpster.
Just after midnight Saturday, Officers responded to a call about minors with guns at a party near East 21st Street and Garnett Road. Officers said they saw a group of teens, ages 14 to 16, and they ran down an alleyway but were caught.
A 16-year-old admitted to having a pistol, and he was arrested and taken to the Community Intervention Center for Minor in Possession of a Firearm.
The other three teens were cited for curfew violations.
During the chase, Officers say they heard the sound of one of the dumpsters in the alley closing, and an officer jumped into the dumpster to dig through Mexican food scraps to see if the teens disposed of any weapons, but none were found.
