Over a month after the incident at the Sand Springs QuikTrip, Jason Ponnequin has been arrested.
Jason Ponnequin was arrested Wednesday, a month after his wife was taken into custody in Sand Springs for an incident that occurred during an anti-Trump protest. Police said that back in mid-July, Jason Ponnequin and his wife, Monica Ponnequin, were protesting at a QuikTrip, and Jason Ponnequin allegedly threw a large object at a man’s car and then rammed his SUV into the victim’s vehicle. Police say the impact was intentional, and the victim’s wife was injured.
Jason Ponnequin is now facing charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, throwing an object at a motor vehicle, and assault and battery with a deadly weapon. He was charged with the three felonies only days after the incident, but he wasn’t arrested until today.
Sand Springs police say they did not make the arrest.
