TULSA, Okla. — A man has been arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on five counts of Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon after allegedly firing a shot into a salon.
The Tulsa Police Department said officers responded to a call for shots fired at a salon near 77th and Sheridan on Aug. 17 around 10:48 a.m.
According to TPD, witnesses told police that the suspect came into the salon asking to use the restroom, but was denied because the salon does not have a public restroom.
TPD said the suspect started to leave but then opened the door with a gun in hand and fired a shot into the salon.
The bullet skimmed across the floor near the five people inside.
According to TPD, the suspect had a small handgun tucked in his waistband.
At this time, we are not releasing the name or image of the suspect as charges have not yet been formally filed.
