The Tulsa Police Department said a missing seven-year-old boy with autism was found deceased.
The Department said the boy’s body was found by the Tulsa Fire Department a few blocks from where he was last seen.
According to authorities, preliminary evidence indicates he walked southwest from his house toward a nearby creek at the end of the cul-de-sac.
The Department stated that they can provide no further updates at this time, and the Medical Examiner is now taking jurisdiction over the investigation.
The Department thanked the nearly 150 first responders who assisted in the search.
