An explosion in Sand Springs has left one person dead and another in critical condition, according to the Sand Springs Fire Department.
Fire Chief Jeremy Wade said the explosion happened in a building that houses several businesses. He said firefighters arrived to find a large fire and discovered the victims inside the building.
Morrow Road will remain closed between Main Street and Adams Road during the investigation. Sand Springs police said business owners in that area should call the police dispatch number and leave their contact information. Police said they will call those businesses back when they can enter the area.

A woman who did not want to be identified told KRMG she stores her RV inside one of the damaged buildings and said she was asleep inside when the blast happened.
“I was awoken by my RV shaking… I went outside to see what was going on… there’s two firetrucks and a fireball in the sky.” The woman said.
She told us her RV took damage in the explosion, but she was not hurt.
