Update: Ryan Bassham has been arrested and taken into custody for two counts of first-degree murder following a deadly explosion in Sand Springs that claimed the lives of two people.
Bassham was arrested by deputies with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and has been booked into the Tulsa County jail.
He was arrested on Sunday after surrendering himself, according to an affidavit.
Sand Springs Police issued a warrant for Bassham, who they believe is responsible for the explosion at a Sand Springs marijuana facility last week.
Bassham was charged with two counts of murder in connection to this explosion by the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities filed murder charges in connection to the deadly Sand Springs explosion at the Morrow Gill Business Complex that killed two people.
The explosion occurred in a marijuana business that extracts THC early Thursday morning, according to Sand Springs police.
According to court records, two murder charges have been filed against Ryan Bassham in connection to the explosion.
Authorities said Bassham has an active arrest warrant and added that he may be trying to evade law enforcement.
Several other businesses were damaged or destroyed in the blast, which could be heard and felt for miles.
Debris from the explosion was found blocks away from the scene.
