TULSA COUNTY, Okla. — The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office says a Good Samaritan is injured after being thrown from a moving vehicle last night.
Sheriff’s deputies say the victim saw two men standing by an SUV around 61st Street North and Peoria last night and thought they had run out of gas, so he stopped to try to help.
That’s when they say the two men forced him inside their SUV, assaulted him, demanded money, and then shoved him out as they drove away, causing him to suffer a broken foot.
Deputies say Tulsa Police spotted the suspect vehicle on a FLOCK camera, and they quickly detained 35-year-old Jose Esparza-Becerra and 37-year-old Juan Torres until deputies arrived and arrested them.
They say the two were booked on complaints of Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
They say the suspects are also on hold for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
