SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — The Sand Springs Police Department said one man is dead following a construction accident in Sand Springs.
According to authorities, the accident occurred on Wednesday at a site near West Morrow Road and Wilson Avenue.
Police said while the rest of his coworkers were at lunch, a man was crushed while working inside a trench.
Both the Sand Springs Fire Department and the Sand Springs Police Department responded to the scene.
Once first responders arrived, they determined the man had passed away.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is onsite and investigating the incident.
