TULSA COUNTY, Okla. — The Tulsa County Board of County Commissioners has officially declared a burn ban for Tulsa County.
The ban is effective immediately and prohibits any outdoor burning or open flames.
On social media, the county stated, “Please help protect our community and reduce the risk of wildfires by following the burn ban and avoiding all outdoor burning and open flames.”
The burn ban will be in place until Sept. 8.
The county asks residents to continue watching for updates due to Oklahoma’s weather unpredictability in case new circumstances change previously issued guidance.
